The Ontario Institute of Health and Innovation (OIHI) recently hosted an engaging and informative Open House on campus, giving prospective students an inside look at the exceptional opportunities that await them.
Attendees had the chance to tour OIHI’s facilities, connect with the Admissions, Enrollment and Financial Aid teams and learn more about the institution’s National Association of Career Colleges (NACC) accredited Personal Support Worker (PSW) program and Early Childhood Assistant (ECA) program.
One of the highlights of the Open House was an immersive, interactive healthcare session featuring cutting-edge virtual reality (VR) technology. Participants had the unique opportunity to practice essential healthcare skills using VR — such as taking blood pressure, checking pulses and measuring body temperature.
The event also featured insightful presentations on financial aid options, including the Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP), as well as a dedicated session on pursuing a rewarding career as a Personal Support Worker. This session, led by Alice Hoang, an experienced PSW professional, provided valuable industry insights and practical advice for those interested in personal support work.
The Open House was a massive success, providing attendees with a deeper understanding of OIHI’s programs and the exciting career opportunities they will be able to pursue in personal support work and early childhood assistance after graduation.
OIHI’s NACC PSW and ECA programs are currently taking applications, with upcoming intakes in April, July and October. For more information about OIHI’s offerings and the admissions process, please visit www.oihi.ca and reach out to admissions@oihi.ca.
